A customer in the telecommunications industry contracted The Fastron Co. to fabricate the custom, self-threading hex head terminal screws as highlighted below, featuring a molded plastic encapsulated head. Utilizing our expert cold heading and thread rolling processes, specialized grade 302HQ stainless steel was employed to create the screw, while the washer was composed of brass material. Meeting tolerances of ±.001", the screw was manufactured to an overall length of 0.630" and a diameter of 0.290". The Fastron Co. was commissioned by a customer in the music industry to fabricate the special external square head stem with ball collar as highlighted below. Utilizing a state of the art 5" long heading machine, 1022 steel was formed to the specified profiles while maintaining a tight tolerance of ±.0015" throughout. Shaving was employed for the precision contouring and detailing, and the parts were rolled to generate the required threading.
